CHALLENGE

  • A major issue before choosing to work with X-CD was the fragmentation of systems and processes.
  • APA was using various platforms for registration, submission of abstracts, program management, scheduling, event mobile app, CE credits, and virtual platform
  • This not only created confusion and inefficiency for APA staff, but also resulted in a disjointed experience for participants.

SOLUTIONS

  •  APA moved to X-CD to help manage their multiple call for proposals (9 separate speaker modules), including the call for posters which they collected over 3,000 in the first year with X-CD
  • APA customized their track chair and peer review modules to meet their unique and complex workflows to replicate and improve upon their prior custom database which supported 54 unique divisions for their annual convention.
  • X-CD also stepped in to help facilitate APA’s CE Workshops and CE sessions with Attendee Tracking using the X-CD OnSite App to track, and verify attendance to sessions and automatically distribute CE credit hours to over 2,500 attendees, while collecting 23,000 session evaluations
  • Virtual (hybrid) attendees were also able to earn online CE credits while attending APA convention through X-CDs virtual platform if they passed live Alertness Checks and completed their session evaluations
  •  X-CD provided on demand badge printing solution for 8,000 on site attendees and exhibitors with 20 express self-service kiosks and 4 assisted registration desks
